A snack or a beverage can do the job well, but bear in mind that you do not have to go all out and commit a month's wages on this first meeting, no matter how much you want to impress. There is plenty of time for top quality restaurants when you know for sure that your partnership is going somewhere.
Pick a straightforward pastime, like a stroll around the downtown core, provided the weather is likely to be fine for this. Be certain you have an alternative in mind just in case the day becomes really poor - arriving with dripping hair, tends not to make a good first impression!
